1. BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURSHIP – FOUNDATION
During this module learners will be introduced to, and operate at, different levels of entrepreneurship. Learners will focus on the foundation skills/elements of a successful entrepreneur. During this module, learners will be equipped with the skills needed to start or develop a new business or take over from current management structures. Phase 2 will cover entrepreneur life skills such as mannerism, etiquette, appearance and professionalism, stress management, public speaking, mind / mental management, public relations, to name but a few.
Learners achievements within this foundation module will build strong foundations – to launch their successful careers.
2. BUSINESS CONSULTING
In this module, learners will gain experience by means of Face - to - Face consulting. Focus will be on the 7 C’s of consulting, starting with the subject of a Client, understanding their needs and getting it right from the start. The next step is to Clarify the real issues and Create a deliverable solution. The result sets the stage for Change, working to make things happen. After Confirming and measuring the change , you Continually add value and benefit to the client. Finally Closing with a job well done.
Each consult will be recorded and become part of your portfolio of evidence. The experience and lessons learned will give learners access to the views of different business owners, helping them form new ideas and finding solutions to a variety of business challenges.
3. BUSINESS LEADERSHIP
In this module learners will be introduced to the art of leadership, making reference to great leadership style’s of the past and present.
The art of leadership will be experienced through leadership roles in practical businesses, departments and divisions. With a great deal of focus being placed on new business ventures.
Learners will focus on the laws’ of leadership, paying attention to other business policies and principles, sports, religion, market trends and conflict.
Why do people follow – through learner research and Face-to-Face consulting with business leaders, learners will analyse their styles and record their traits in their portfolio of evidence. This will give learners the opportunity to understand how effective leadership can influence people to give 110% in everything they do.
Learners will develop their own leadership style and apply it in their businesses or leadership roles, giving them the confidence to lead and organise businesses and even successfully take over businesses.
4. BUSINESS RESEARCH
In this module learners will experience and gain the necessary skills, in research and referencing, avoid reinventing the wheel and making the most of available resources.
Learners would learn to use the world of referencing as an art, contributing to the success of one’s business. New methods, cost effective methods and various other techniques will be the experience gained during this module adding to the learner’s portfolio of evidence.
Inventing new systems, means of delivery and cost reduction techniques will give the learners the competitive advantage in their basket of skills.
Learners will gain experience in questioning business methods of previous experiences, reviewing and sourcing new paths. Sampling literature, reviewing various qualitative and quantative research methods.
Practical application, experience and research other business models and methods before one starts expending one’s budget.
This module will successfully prepare learners in doing research with introduced mind management.
5. BUSINESS MARKETING
Preparation for this module has included referencing from over 30 years of personal experience and situations.
Learners will have access to both successful and unsuccessful methods used in the past to fully understand the dynamics behind successful marketing. Learning to perfect marketing to make one’s business a success would be key focus. in this module . Learners will be introduced to market research and using the research to develop an effective marketing strategy.
Target markets will be analysed in accordance with the 5p's of marketing, namely: Product; Price; Place; Promotion; People.
Special attention will be given to practically gaining the necessary knowledge and practical skills to market your product / service successfully while understanding the role marketing plays in the business environment.
6. BUSINESS NEGOTIATION
During this module, learners will experience daily exposure to negotiation, from the easier formats to the more complex art of negotiation.
Learners are introduced to the principals of negotiation and practical application methods. The win / win concept will be perfected, thus allowing learners to create and develop their own personal style.
Understanding people, the deal and the objectives of negotiation will be studied and most importantly experience will be gained in practical real world situations and will be recorded as part of your portfolio of evidence.
On completion of this module learners will have an understanding of people and body language and have the ability to effectively influence the situation and achieve a mutually beneficial solution.
7. BUSINESS PLAN
In this module learners will gain experience in the art of writing, marketing and implementing business plans. Kambaram Business School has developed an innovative method of learning to perfect the art of writing a business plan.
During the programme learners will practice writing several business plans, which will form part of their portfolio of evidence.
Learners will gain practical experience in writing, analysing, presenting and implementing the business plans. At the successful completion of this module, learners will fully understand a business plan and be able to write a business plan covering the following: a detailed statement of objectives, proposed operations, resources required, financial forecasts, forming of business entities, ensuring the readers objectives are met – what is required for the venture, external parties, funding parties / loans, management, marketing strategy adopted, etc.
Simply the writing of Business Plans for other businesses could become a source of income for the learner, if so desired.
8. BUSINESS OPERATION MANAGEMENT
In this module the learners will be assessed on their skills in the management and running of businesses. Attention to organisation structure systems and processes, as well as management complexity will be covered.
Key areas that will be covered in this module include: Planning labour, materials and equipment to convert into products, developing operations strategies, designing and setting up systems, service delivery, service & control systems and implementation of this within a business.
Learners will effectively establish and manage operating systems.
9. BUSINESS FINANCE
Introduction in finance, understanding Income statements, Cash Flow and Balance Sheets will be covered in this module.
Learners will be introduced to the principles of Business Finance and the world of Finance at large. Special attention is given to planning, drafting and evaluation of the necessary documents to secure funding.
The module will equip learners with the knowledge and understanding of financial structuring, raising funds, investment decisions cash-flow management, working capital process, valuation of companies, financial planning, budgeting, long term financing, mergers and acquisitions.
Assessment of these principals will form part of the learners portfolio of evidence.
10. BUSINESS FUNDING
In this module learners will learn how to obtain the necessary funding needed for business acquisitions, cash flow, growth of business, buy out’s, etc.
Through this module learners will gain the confidence to present reports and plans to businesses, banks, funder’s, prospectus partners and the like.
Learners will be positioned to confidently apply for and obtain funding for their business ventures.
11. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The confidence and assertiveness gained throughout the programme prepares them for the next step.
