Financing your Programme
GENERAL PROGRAMME QUESTIONS
Will the program guarantee me a job after graduation?
No, it will, however, more than guarantee your future success. We are not creating employees. We are creating leaders who will have the ability, resources and knowledge to start, operate and run a successful group of businesses.
Is the Executive Programme Accredited?
As the entry-level requirements for this programme are minimal we cannot offer accreditation of the programme, however, the facilitators, assessors and moderators are accredited for those learners who would like to earn credits towards a more formal qualification.
Are library services Available?
Online library services are available on campus and at Sandton Public Library.
How long is the average student day?
The average student day is from 8h30 to 15h30 and is dependent on the modules.
How often is the Full Time Executive Programme run?
The programme is run once a year.

How many learners can do the Executive programme per intake?
The annual intake for the Full Time Executive programme is 25 learners.
Is the Executive Programme only available for full time students?
Yes, the executive programme is only available to full time students due to the intensity of the programme and its modules.
Once accepted, how do I prepare for the programme?
Once accepted learners will receive an enrolment pack, they will be required to complete the compulsory reading and other activities as indicated in the enrolment pack.
What equipment must I bring for the programme?
Learners are required to bring along: -
- Their own Laptop with a wireless network connection
- A Financial calculator
- Basic Stationary Pens, Pencils, Erasers Rulers etc…
What is a portfolio of evidence?
A portfolio of evidence is evidence of the learner’s activities, goals, achievements, assessments etc… and it is built up throughout the programme.
Do I have to create a portfolio of evidence?
Yes, a portfolio of evidence is documented proof that you have actually done the work and you will use this throughout your career development.
Will we do assignments, tests and exams?
Learners will only do practical assignments, case studies and consultations with numerous business leaders.
What type of practical activities will we do?
Some practical activities done by students include: -

APPLICATION - GENERAL
What is the deadline for applying?
Kambaram Business School application deadline for the 2010 Executive Programme is the 18th of December 2009.
How will my application be evaluated?
Each application is reviewed by the Admissions committee. When selecting students we put emphasis on leadership potential, students who have a fervent passion to succeed, and various personal qualities and characteristics.
In which part of the application may I enter additional information, including special circumstances?
Please enter important information that you want the committee to know in the space provided on the application form.
How do I add new information if I have already submitted my application?
Once the application has been submitted, the Admissions Committee is unable to accept application updates other than contact updates. If invited to interview, applicants may inform the Committee of updates at that time.
Are international students eligible to apply to Kambaram Business School?
Yes. Local and International students alike are welcome to apply. Kambaram Business School can assist learners in obtaining their study permits.
What is the difference between local and International Students?
A local student is any student who is a South African citizen and is in possession of a South African Identity document. An International student is any other student that does not have a South African Identity document.
Do International Students have to complete a different application process?
No, international students will complete the same application process as a local student.
Do I need to get a study permit to Study at Kambaram Business School?
International students will need a study permit or residency permit, to study at Kambaram.
Does Kambaram Business School assist me with a Visa and study permit?
Yes, Kambaram does assist learners with their Visa’s and Study Permits.
Is accommodation available?
No, however Kambaram can arrange accommodation for the learner at their expense.
APPLICATIONS – MOTIVATION LETTERS
How closely do I need to adhere to the page limit?
Please respect the page limit specified for the motivational letter. Please note the font, size and spacing for the letter.
What should my motivation letter contain?
The Motivational letter is your opportunity to present a clear picture of yourself, your goals and aspirations. This will provide the admissions committee with information about your motivation, maturity, interests abilities and communication skills. Your letter should be based on answering the five questions:-
- Who are you?
- Where do you come from?
- What dreams or aspirations do you have for the future?
- Why are you interested, and feel that you, should be selected for the programme?
- Where do you feel that you will benefit most from the Programme?
- You can include any additional information that you would like the admissions committee to know that is not covered in the application form or process.
Can my motivation letter be handwritten or must it be typed out?
The motivational letter must be typed out and written in paragraph format. Please ensure that it is written in Arial Font, size 10 and has a line spacing of 1,5 with double spacing between paragraphs. Please ensure, in so far as possible, to keep each letter to one typed page size.
APPLICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCE
What is the desired length of work experience you wish to see in candidates?
Kambaram Business School does not require a minimum number of years’ work experience prior to entering the program, and it is important for you to assess your own readiness when deciding to apply. Successful candidates have the ability to demonstrate strengths in the areas needed regardless of the number of years of their work experience.
What constitutes work experience?
Work experience includes any opportunity in which the learner has been able to develop their professional skills.
Are there specific types of work experience that will make me a more attractive candidate?
No. Applicants should focus on their roles, responsibilities, and what they have learned from the types of work experience they have gained. The Admissions Board will look at the nature of the applicant’s work experience and the gaps that need to be filled.
What other experience is required?
No other experience is required
Is leadership experience required?
No leadership experience is required, however, it is important that the learner indicates in his application form, any leadership experience that he may have, whether it be in a personal or professional capacity.
APPLICATIONS – REFERENCE
What is the process for referrals?
Referees are asked a number of questions on their referral forms. They are to complete the referral form and learners are requested to submit this form along with their application form.
Who would be a suitable referee?
Referees should be individuals who know the candidate well and who can attest to the candidate's ability and character. This could be someone from either a professional or personal environment.
APPLICATIONS - INTERVIEW
When should I expect an invitation for an interview?
Interview invitations are extended on completion of the Admissions Committee's review of the application. The timing of your interview does not imply anything about the status of your application nor does it impact your candidacy. Invitations to interview may be extended up until the notification date and are a positive indicator no matter when you receive them.
What should I expect for my interview?
Your interview will last approximately 60 minutes and will be conducted by the Admissions Board. Interviews may take place in person or over the phone.
How can I best prepare?

What should I wear for my interview?
Dress formal and smart, as though you were going for a formal Job Interview.
What should I bring along to my interview?
You can bring along any information that you believe will be relevant to you learning at Kambaram Business School.
Will I need to travel for my interview?
No, depending on your location telephone interviews will be conducted with students that reside outside of Gauteng.

When and how can I expect to hear back from Kambaram Business School?
All applicants to Kambaram Business School will be notified via e-mail or telephone as soon as the decision has been made.
Will Kambaram Business School provide feedback for students who have been rejected?
Kambaram Business School will provide personalized feedback on your application. We only have space for 25 places in the class so ensure you get your application in early. It is not uncommon for us to have to deny admission to many exceptional individuals due to limited space. Also, please note that the decision of the Admissions Committee is final. If your application was unsuccessful, we recommend you apply for the following year.
How long can I defer my acceptance?
Candidates should submit applications only for the year they plan to enter the program. Postponements and deferrals are rarely granted and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

How can I submit my resume?
Your resume or CV must be submitted along with your admission form.
Is there a minimum Qualification requirement to apply?
No. The uniqueness of the programme is that no formal tertiary education is required. Learners may be required to undertake a minor English language and basic numeric assessment prior to the meeting with the admissions committee. This is only intended to ensure that all the students can progress through the programme at a similar pace.
What type of qualification do I need to enrol at Kambaram Business School?
None, you do not need to have any qualification to enrol and Kambaram Business School.
Do I have to be able to speak, read and write in English to enrol at Kambaram Business School?
Yes, as the programme is formulated, written and delivered in English. Learners need to be able to speak, read and write in English.
Do I need to be able to do Mathematics to enrol at Kambaram Business School?
Learners need to be able to perform basic calculations, and know how to use a simple calculator.
Is the programme only for people without a Tertiary Qualifications?
No, this programme is open to anyone who is looking to bridge the gap between academia and experience.
FINANCING YOUR PROGRAMME
What are some options for financing my Kambaram Business School programme?
Payments via cash, credit card, study loan, bursary or corporate sponsorship.
What fees are payable when?
Upon notification of acceptance for the programme learners are required to make the full payment for the programme.
Do I have to purchase my own referencing material?
Yes, learners are required to purchase their own referencing material. A list of referencing material will be forwarded to learners in their enrolment packs.
If I refer students to the programme will I receive discount on my fee?
Yes, learners that refer other learners, who are accepted into the programme will receive a further discount on their fees for the programme.
Are the extra activities, class trips etc included in the fee structure?
No, any extra activities, class trips etc are not included in the fee structure and learners will be required to pay for these activities prior to partaking in the activities or class trips.
